Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Can Atakan, one of the partners of TLAWCO, was one of the 5 students who were among the top 1% in the ÖSS examination in 2005 in Türkiye.* He graduated from the Faculty of Law of Kadir Has University with a full scholarship (100% ÖSYM scholarship) and completed his legal education in 2010 with two Honours Degrees and an Outstanding Honours Degree.
Following his legal internship, he completed his Master's degree in Private Law at the Georg-August University of Göttingen** in Germany and obtained the title LL.M. (Master of Laws).
After his master's degree, he began his doctoral studies at the Georg-August University of Göttingen** (Germany) and graduated in 2016 with the title Dr.iur. (Doctor iuris) - Doctor of Laws.
After his master's and doctoral studies, he returned to Turkey and became a lecturer at the Faculty of Law of Altınbaş University, Department of Business Law, and head of the German-Turkish law programme conducted jointly with the University of Cologne.
In 2021, he was awarded the title of "Associate Professor" (Assoc. Dr.) in the field of commercial law by the Presidium of the Inter-University Council.
